Olympique Marseille chasing Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah

French club Marseille are reportedly keen on acquiring Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah as they look to bolster their attacking options for the upcoming season.

The club is already close to finalizing a deal for Manchester United’s Mason Greenwood, and Nketiah could form a formidable partnership with the English forward.

Marseille is envisioning a new-look attack, with former Arsenal captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, their top scorer last season, expected to depart for Saudi Pro League side Al Qadsiah.

Nketiah, despite delivering crucial goals for Arsenal in recent seasons, has found opportunities limited due to the presence of Gabriel Jesus, Kai Havertz, and Leandro Trossard. A move to Marseille could offer the 25-year-old a more prominent role.

The French club reached the semi-finals of the UEFA Europa League last season but finished eighth in Ligue 1, missing out on European qualification. Marseille are aiming to strengthen their squad to challenge for a top-four finish next season.
