Italy Serie A outfit US Cremonese Sporting Director Simone Giacchetta says that there are only two young talents like Felix Afena-Gyan in the league.
The newly promoted team recently signed the Ghana International from AS Roma on a long term deal.
According to Giacchetta, Georgi Scalvini of Atalanta and Fabio Miretti are as talented as the Ghanaian attacker who signed for Cremonese this summer.
“It is already a heritage of the Cremonese, it is a 2003 that is in the national team and will play the world championship, young people like him in Italy there are only Scalvini and Miretti,” he said as quoted by TUTTOmercato.
“As in his case we have made many operations outright because the Cremonese in this category we he wants to stay and we have players who can be resources for the future,” he added.
The 19-year-old Ghanaian versatile forward played 17 League games in his breakthrough season in the Italy Serie A last season and scored two goals for the UEFA Europa Conference League holders.
Seeking for playing time ahead of the 2022 FIFA World Cup tournament in Qatar later this year, the youngster opted to leave Roma for Cremonese ahead of the mundial in November – December this year.
