Opta Analyst ranks Ghana as the 9th favourite to lift the 2023 AFCON

The leader of football statistics, Opta Analyst, has revealed their favourites for the upcoming 2023 AFCON to be played in Ivory Coast.

Opta declared Senegal as the favourites with 12.8% with the host Ivory Coast second with a 12.1% chance to lift the coveted trophy.

The 7 times winner, Egypt was ranked as the 5th favourite with an 8.5% chance.

Cameroon who have won the competition on 5 occasions was ranked the 7th favourite to lift the trophy with a 7.4% chance as four times winners, Ghana, was ranked the 9th favourite with a 5.3% chance to end the 42-year drought for the AFCON trophy.

Morocco and Tunisia are all among the top favourites per Opta Analyst.
