Orlando Pirates co-coach Mandla Ncikazi has hinted that Ghanaian international Richard Ofori is back to training.
The shot stopper sustained an injury last September on international duty with the Black Stars and has not featured for his club since them.
He has however fully recovered now from the injury and has started training with his colleagues.
“Richard has started training and it looks promising. He played a training match against Swallows for 45 minutes on Saturday and (he was) very impressive.” Ncikazi told his club’s media
“We are hoping that he will come back sooner than expected but he will be a good contributor without saying that Mpontshane has not done well in his absence. Wayne (Sandilands), Mpontshane and the youngsters but it’s important for the club to have Ofori back and I’m hoping that he will be back sooner than later,” he added.
Ofori could play his first league game this year for Pirates by the start of March.
