Black Stars forward Osman Bukari has been instructed by Red Star Belgrade’s sporting director Zvezdan Terzic to pay attention to his coach’s instructions if he wants to flourish.
Bukari spent the previous season on loan at Ligue 1 club Nantes before joining the Serbian giants in the summer. In 24 appearances across all competitions, he has scored seven goals.
Although his skills won him a spot in Ghana’s World Cup team, it appears that his present club has not been too satisfied with his performances thus far.
“Bukari started brilliantly, at times he showed power,” said Terzic as quoted by Football Ghana.
“He has the quality for the longest ranges, but I think he has to change the way he plays and do what the coach asks of him. He does everything for his own benefit. If he sets himself up properly, he can outrun all his rivals.”
The 24-year-old came on as a second-half substitute for Ghana, who had lost their World Cup opener 3-1 to Portugal. He headed in the second goal, but it wasn’t enough to earn the Black Stars a point.
