Black Stars coach Otto Addo recently visited Ghanaian defender Alidu Seidu in France ahead of his successful knee surgery.
The Stade Rennes right-back underwent the procedure after sustaining a cruciate ligament injury in his left knee during a Ligue 1 match against LOSC last month.
During the visit, Addo offered words of encouragement and pledged his full support, reinforcing the national team’s solidarity with the injured defender.
The surgery was a success, and Seidu is now preparing to begin his rehabilitation. Unfortunately, the injury will keep him out of action until next year, ruling him out of Ghana’s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Chad and Madagascar in March.
Prior to the injury, Seidu was in outstanding form for Stade Rennes, even earning the club’s Player of the Month award in September.
