Under the patronage of Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, Asante Kotoko has scheduled an urgent meeting on Thursday, April 18th, to tackle pressing issues affecting the club.
Gathering key stakeholders, including the playing body, technical team, interim management committee, and supporters’ leadership, the meeting aims to address mounting concerns over Kotoko’s recent performance in the Ghana Premier League.
The decision to convene the meeting comes following a disruptive incident during a training session at the Adako Jachie Training grounds, where a group of supporters demanded the resignation of Coach Prosper Ogum and his technical staff.
Kotoko’s recent form has raised eyebrows, with just one victory in their last 10 games, comprising eight losses and one draw—a departure from their illustrious history of domestic success, having clinched the league title 24 times.
Responding to the unrest among supporters and the team’s slump, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, as the club’s Life Patron and owner, is taking proactive measures to address the situation.
The emergency meeting aims to foster unity among stakeholders and devise strategies to guide Kotoko back to winning ways.
With anticipation high among the club’s faithful, the outcome of the meeting is awaited eagerly, with hopes that it will herald a new chapter in Kotoko’s journey, revitalizing their pursuit of success in the Ghana Premier League.
