The National Circles Council (NCC) chairman, Christopher Damenya, revealed that Asante Kotoko’s life patron, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has pledged to revamp the Adako Jachie training complex.
During a recent visit to the facility with club legends, supporters’ leadership, and other stakeholders, Otumfuo promised to upgrade the training ground to match the stature of Asante Kotoko.
Damenya confirmed this commitment and mentioned that the King has taken the architectural design to enhance the project significantly.
“During our visit to Manhyia yesterday, the King promised to visit Adako Jachie today,” Damenya said in an interview with Akoma FM.
“Indeed, he honoured the promise and toured the project. We took Him around and exposed our challenges to him”
“He (Otumfuo) promised to rebuild the Adako Jachie project and make it more befitting, so he has taken the architectural design, very soon we will all witness Adako Jachie project in a different perspective”
Additionally, Otumfuo has appointed a four-member Interim Management Committee to oversee the club’s day-to-day administration, led by Nana Apinkra Akwasi Awua as the Kontomponiaferehene and a chartered accountant, along with former Black Stars coach James Kwesi Appiah, Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum (the new head coach), and Emmanuel Newton Dasoberi (the administrative manager).
