Hearts of Oak’s head coach, Ouattara Aboubakar, is resolute in his mission to guide his team to safety amidst the trials of the Ghana Premier League.
With the Phobians currently occupying the 14th spot in the league standings, the battle against relegation looms large. Their recent goalless stalemate against Accra Great Olympics has compounded their predicament, leaving them teetering on the edge.
Expressing his discontent at their precarious position despite a commendable showing against Great Olympics, Coach Aboubakar voiced frustration at the inconsistency plaguing the team’s performance throughout the season.
He maintained that replicating the level of play demonstrated against Olympics consistently would undoubtedly have placed them in a more favorable position in the league standings.
Nevertheless, amidst the challenges, Coach Aboubakar remains steadfast in his optimism, emphasizing that the team holds their destiny in their own hands as they brace themselves for a crucial showdown against Bechem United on June 15th.
“We are commencing preparations from Tuesday before heading to Bechem for the final match. The future lies within our grasp, not in the hands of others but in ours,” he asserted.
With Bechem United currently positioned seventh in the league standings, the impending encounter promises to be a stern test for Hearts of Oak in their bid for survival in the league.
