TP Mazembe is a win away from making it to the finals of the CAF Champions League albeit they have to eliminate Al Ahly in Cairo.
Speaking ahead of the game in the mandatory pre-match conference, the 67-year-old Senegalese manager disclosed their intentions ahead of the second leg.
“We suffered and missed several key players in the first leg just like Al Ahly, but big clubs are not affected by these things.
“Our goal is to win the Champions League and we will play to win tomorrow and qualify for the final,” said Lamine Ndiaye.
The first leg of the CAF Champions League ended goalless in Lumbashi between TP Mazembe and Al Ahly. Lamine Ndiaye has boosted the morale of his squad and the fans by saying they’re preparing to beat the defending champions.
The much-awaited second leg will kick off on Friday in Cairo at the Al Salaam Sports Stadium at 7 pm.
