”Our inexperience and a few individual errors were evident” – Samartex coach Nurudeen Amadu reflects on Bechem Utd loss

League leaders FC Samartex faced a surprising setback, succumbing to a 1-0 defeat against Bechem United in the Ghana Premier League clash on Sunday.

At the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park, the hosts capitalized on an early opportunity, with Joseph Kinful finding the net just three minutes into the game. Despite their efforts, Samartex couldn’t muster an equalizer, allowing Bechem United to secure a crucial victory.

Reflecting on the match, Samartex coach Nurudeen Amadu acknowledged his team’s sluggish start.

“We lacked our usual rhythm in the first half, appearing sluggish and slow. However, in the second half, we bounced back strongly. Being down, we needed to push forward and equalize,” he remarked. “Our inexperience and a few individual errors were evident. We have no excuse but to regroup and recover,” he emphasized.

The defeat adds to Samartex’s recent woes, following their 1-0 loss to Nations FC at home last week. They now face Nsoatreman in their upcoming league fixture on week 21.
