Dreams FC head coach Abdul Karim Zito has expressed frustration over his team’s current position in the Ghana Premier League, stating that their performances on the field do not reflect their standing on the table.
The Still Believe lads, who made a strong debut in the CAF Confederation Cup last season, have yet to secure a win in the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League after seven matches, recording four draws and three losses. Despite their efforts, they are currently sitting in 17th place with just four points.
After a goalless draw against Hearts of Oak at the Tuba Astro Turf over the weekend, Zito shared his concerns regarding his team’s lack of wins.
“Our performance in the league doesn’t reflect on our position. My boys are playing well, but putting the ball in the net is our biggest problem,” Zito stated.
Dreams FC will now prepare to face Young Apostles in Wenchi for matchday 8 of the league. Both sides will be eager to claim three points after drawing their previous games.
Zito will be hoping his team can break their winless run and start climbing up the league standings.
