Dreams FC head coach Karim Zito is aiming for a major upset against Asante Kotoko in their upcoming Ghana Premier League fixture, despite acknowledging the inexperience of his squad.
Zito’s team heads into the match on the back of two consecutive winless games, but the coach remains hopeful about their chances.
“It won’t be easy for us, but since we are playing at home, our target is to win,” Zito said, expressing confidence despite the challenges.
The Dreams FC boss is drawing on his past successes against Kotoko, having defeated them in the season they won the league title. However, he admits that his current squad is largely made up of debutants in the Ghana Premier League.
“These are younger players trying to come in. This is the first time they have started playing in the Ghana Premier League,” Zito explained.
Despite the team’s youth and inexperience, Zito is optimistic about their chances of causing an upset against a Kotoko side that has been in solid form. The match is scheduled to kick off at 15:00 GMT on Saturday, December 21, at the Tuba Astro Turf.
“Our target on Saturday against Asante Kotoko is to win,” Zito declared, signaling that his team is prepared to take on the challenge head-on.
