‘Our target is to do better than what we did last year’ – Odotei Sowah

Board Member of Ghana Premier League giant Accra Hearts of Oak SC, Mr Vincent Odotei Sowah says the club’s target is do better better than previous in the CAF Confederation Cup competition.

He said the team needs ample time to compete very well with the best teams in Africa and thus must prepare very well for the 2022-23 season.

Hearts loss to CAF Champions League winners Wydad Athletic Club in the final qualifying stage.

They also got eliminated from the CAF Confederation Cup competition by Algeria side JS Sauora.

“That is where we belong.Hearts of Oak belong to Africa and it’s about time we make sure that we make an impact in Africa and to assist Ghana to make our ranking,our seeding and the coefficient to go up for Africa.

“The target is to do better than what we did last year.It takes time to build momentum in continental endeavors so we definitely expect to do better than we did last year so we are going to prepare to give a good account of ourselves”

Hearts won the MTN FA Cup final against Bechem United FC on Saturday evening at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi and will play in the CAF Inter-continental competition.
