Kofi Kordzi may have scored eight goals across all competitions for Hearts of Oak this season but the club’s top scorer is currently out of favor at the club.
Head coach Samuel Boadu for the fourth consecutive match dropped Kordzi from Hearts of Oak starting line up against Asante Kotoko last Sunday during the Super Clash.
Afriyie Barnieh, Obeng Kojo Jnr started up front as the two-man attack in the chosen 4-4-2 of Boadu and when the former Medeama gaffer needed to make changes, Isaac Mensah was firstly called upon in the 52nd minute.
Kordzi – who has 7 league goals for the team and a goal in Africa this season – was introduced in the 76th minute to take the place of Barnie as the Phobians.
His frustrations could be seen through as he argued with an assistant referee following an incident against Ismail Ganiyu of Kotoko.
It is obvious that the relationship between Boadu and Kofi Kordzi has deteriorated and the reason why the latter keeps on warming the bench whilst other attackers – that is he has been better than this season – continue to make the starting formations of Hearts of Oak.
If the situation does not improve, definitely Kordzi will be taking a decision on his future at the club.
