Stephen Owusu Banahene has committed to an extended contract with Bibiani Goldstars following productive negotiations.
Banahene, looking ahead to the 2023/24 league season, has inked a two-year contract extension with the Miners.
This renewed agreement will see Owusu Banahene remain with Bibiani Goldstars until 2025.
Prior to finalizing his contract extension with Bibiani Goldstars, Stephen Owusu Banahene had engaged in discussions with Hearts of Oak for a potential transfer.
In an interview a few weeks ago on Kumasi-based Kessben FM, the seasoned midfielder revealed that Hearts of Oak had expressed interest in him, and talks were underway between the two clubs for his signature.
Owusu Banahene joined Bibiani Goldstars in February 2023 and played a significant role in aiding the club to secure a commendable 5th position on the Ghana Premier League table in the previous season.
While there were expectations of his potential move to Hearts of Oak in the ongoing transfer window to reinforce the club’s midfield, which already boasts talents like Gladson Awako, Eric Esso, and Salifu Ibrahim, Banahene has now solidified his commitment to Bibiani Goldstars.
