Asante Kotoko has successfully finalized the signing of Peter Acquah from PAC Academy in the ongoing transfer window. This significant step forward was made following the successful completion of his mandatory medical assessment on Tuesday.
The gifted forward, Peter Acquah, has officially become a member of Asante Kotoko through a three-year agreement. This move follows his completion of a two-week trial period with the club, and he arrives from the newly-promoted Division One League side, PAC Academy.
Throughout his trial, Acquah showcased his skills and potential while training with Asante Kotoko at their pre-season camp in Beposo. The decision to acquire him was influenced by the recommendations of the club’s technical team, led by Prosper Narteh Ogum.
As part of their efforts to strengthen the roster for the upcoming 2023/24 season, Asante Kotoko has already made strategic acquisitions. This includes securing the services of Kalo Ouattara and Henry Ansu from Berekum Chelsea, Yahaya Dawuni from Susubiribi SC, Nanabayin Amoah from Venomous Vipers, and former WAFA midfielder Andrews Ntim Manu. Additionally, Samuel Asamoah has been acquired on a free transfer.
In alignment with their plans, the club has mutually agreed to contract terminations with Dickson Afoakwa, Charles Owusu, Mohammed Alhassan, Samuel Boateng, and Joseph Amoako.
The Asante Kotoko team is currently engaged in preparations for the upcoming 2023/24 season, which is set to commence next month. Their first fixture of the season will be a match against Premier League returnees Heart of Lions, hosted at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, marking the initiation of their campaign.
