Black Stars defender Abdul Baba Rahman says the sense of urgency from PAOK was behind his decision to rejoin the club this summer.
The left-back signed for the club on a three-year deal following the termination of his contract with Premier League side Chelsea after eight years.
Baba Rahman’s time at Chelsea saw him mostly enjoy loan spells away from the club after making 23 appearances in his first season for Chelsea.
In his first interview since returning to the Greek side, the Ghanaian revealed the decision to rejoin PAOK despite receiving several offers.
“I think PAOK has always been in contact with me for the last two years,” he said.
“I think it’s the right move for me because you have to go where you feel really wanted and desired. Although I had different offers, I felt PAOK was a family to me.”
He added that the conversations with the head coach prompted his quick decision.
“I spoke with the coach,” he continued.
“He really expressed his desire to have me here and it’s something I really appreciate and made me choose PAOK.”
