Ghanaian international Thomas Partey could miss Saturday’s home game with Tottenham.
Partey, who returned from international duty early because of a knock needs to pass a late fitness test before manager Mikel Arteta names his squad.
Arteta has already devised a second plan which is to use Ukrainian star Oleksandr Zinchenko to pair Granite Xhaka if Partey fails to recover fully.
The Ghanaian missed Arsenal’s last big game which was against Manchester United in which they were thrashed 3-1.
