In an interview with Empire FM, Patrick Akoto, the Communications Director of Medeama SC, has praised Kurt Okraku, the President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), for his efforts in restoring the football brand in Ghana.
Akoto commended Okraku for his significant strides in revamping the football brand, and for his work in fixing what he described as a “destroyed brand”.
He noted that the GFA had been in a state of collapse prior to Okraku’s election, and that the association’s soul had been wiped out.
“I think people forget where we are coming from. This is a football association which had been completely collapsed prior to the election of Kurt Okraku,” Akoto said.
“The soul of the association was wiped out. Kurt Okraku is now fixing a broken and destroyed brand.”
Okraku assumed office as President of the GFA in 2019 and is set to run for re-election in October 2023.
