Ghana’s legendary striker Asamoah Gyan insists that he is retiring any time soon from football.
Unlike Kwadwo Asamoah who recently announced his retirement to focus on an agency job, Gyan wants to enjoy the game for sometime before he says goodbye.
The 37-year-old has been out of football for the past two years after leaving Ghanaian top-flight side Legon Cities FC.
Speaking on Kessben FM in Kumasi, Gyan insisted that he is working assiduously to return to active football, adding that he is currently in good shape.
“I have been training for some time now and I feel good,” he said.
“I will only quit when my body does not respond well but at the moment, I am fit and well and I hope to return soon.
“Personally, I am doing anything possible to come back because football is my passion,” He concluded.
Asamoah Gyan last played for the Black Stars at the 2019 Africa Cup Nations- AFCON in Egypt.
