Ghanaian midfielder Edmund Addo has commenced training with his new club, Red Star Belgrade.
Following his successful medical examination and completion of international duty with the Ghana national team, the Black Stars midfielder finalized his move on Wednesday.
Addo, who signed a four-year contract, is expected to play a crucial role for the club in the upcoming season.
Having garnered attention while playing for Sheriff Tiraspol, the talented midfielder caught the eye of the Serbian champions.
Following disputes between Sheriff and Crvena Zvezda, Addo joined Spartak Subotica in January. Despite being limited to only 11 league matches due to injuries, his performances impressed Red Star Belgrade, leading to his acquisition.
Shortly after being unveiled, Addo wasted no time and joined his new teammates in training sessions as they prepare for the upcoming season.
He joins fellow Ghanaian player Osman Bukari, who had an exceptional debut season with the Serbian giants.
Red Star Belgrade currently holds the title of the Serbian Super League champions.
