Hearts of Oak striker, Kwadwo Obeng Junior, celebrated a joyous milestone in his life as he tied the knot with his longtime girlfriend, Cecilia Gyasiwah.
The couple exchanged vows in an intimate wedding ceremony held in Sapeiman, located within the Greater Accra region, on Saturday, 17th June 2023.
The event drew the attendance of esteemed sports personalities, including coaches, journalists, and fellow footballers, who came to show their support and well-wishes.
Despite a relatively modest goal tally of two goals in 26 appearances during the recently concluded league campaign, Kwadwo Obeng Junior has embraced his new role as a husband. His dedication to his relationship with Cecilia reflects his commitment to a lifelong journey of love, growth, and companionship.
Kwadwo Obeng Junior’s football career has been closely associated with Hearts of Oak since his arrival in 2018 from Nea Salamina FC. Over the years, he has showcased his skills and commitment to the team, earning the respect and admiration of fans.
In 2020, he further solidified his bond with the club by signing a contract extension for an additional three years, demonstrating his loyalty and dedication to the Phobians.
However, the future holds uncertainties for Obeng Junior. Speculation has emerged that he may be parting ways with Hearts of Oak this summer, seeking new opportunities and challenges elsewhere.
With his contract set to expire on the 30th of June, the 23-year-old forward is keeping his options open, exploring potential destinations where he can continue to grow and contribute to the beautiful game.
