Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang: ‘I wish to play with my son before I retire’

Football runs through the veins of the Aubamenyangs as the father, Pierre Aubamenyang, played for the Gabonese national team, while his three children are footballers.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and his half-brothers, Catilina and Willy, who have both played for Milan’s academy, got their talents through their fathers’ genes.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, 36, is still playing at the top level of world football, having been part of Marseille’s dangerous attack in the current campaign.

Born in France to a Spanish mother and a Gabonese dad, the talented forward is married to Alysha Behague and has two sons who are likely to follow the family legacy.

When Aubamenyang was asked about his wish now at the twilight of his career, the Gabonese striker revealed that he dreams of sharing the same pitch with at least his 14-year-old son Curtys, before he retires.

“My dream is to play with my son one day. He’s 14 now, but I tell myself that nothing is impossible,” Aubamenyang said.

The Aubamenyangs are like the Ayews, where football runs through the family. One can never argue that Pierre-Emerik Aubameyang’s sons will end up being professional footballers because it is deeply rooted in the family.
