The Black Stars of Ghana could not make it to the second round of the 2022 World Cup after losing 2-0 to Uruguay in the third game of Group H.

Despite Ghana’s poor output, players such as Alidu Seidu, Kamaldeen Sulemana and Mohammed Kudus impressed on the day.

Sportsworldghana.com takes a look their output

-Ati Zigi 6

Made some decent saves in the Ghana. If not his effort, Ghana would have been buried by an avalanche of goals

-Alidu Seidu 7
Superb on the right side of defense, defended gallantly and moved up occasionally

-Baba Rahman 6
Came into the game more in the second half with some nice touches.

-Mohammed Salisu 6.5
Made a goal line clearance and was efficient at the back

-Daniel Amartey 5.5
Had problems dealing with the Uruguayan attack but made some decent tackles

-Samed Salis 6

Was pivotal in midfield as his partner Partey was lost once again

Thomas Partey – 4

Very poor on the day. He was given only faulty passes and played with no urgency

Dangerous in attack, got a penalty for Ghana which was missed by Andre Ayew

Andre Ayew 4

A day to forget, he missed a crucial penalty and added nothing to the game. Was substituted at half time

Jordan Ayew 4

Added nothing in attack as he failed to find his rhythm

Inaki Williams 4

Another poor display, he was out of the game before being substituted.

Subs

Kamaldeen 7.5

Dangerous on the flanks and looked so lively. Was able to penetrate the Uruguayans vital area.

Osman Bukari 5

Missed two great chances which could have brought Ghana to level pegging

Kofi Kyereh 6

Very efficient when he came on with good runs and passes.

Antoine Semenyo 6

Brought the needed urgency to the Ghana attack. Was unlucky not to have scored.
