La Celeste of Uruguay beat the Black Stars in the 2022 World Cup tournament in Qatar on Friday evening in Group H last round of games.
The South Americas were tactically better than Ghana in the early stages of the match to put the Black Stars under immense pressure.
Luis Suarez threatened on Ghana’s goal with great display in front of goal for the Sky Blues who were the better team.
Ghana were awarded a spot kick and captain Andre Ayew stepped up and missed the spot kick like Asamoah Gyan did in 2010 in South Africa.
Suárez fired a shot into the box which was initially saved but was put in on the rebound by Giorgian Da Arrascaeta to make it 1-0.
He scored again six minutes later to make it 2-0 at the end of the first half.
Ayew Brothers, Jordan and Andre Ayew were both substituted and replaced by Osman Bukari and Kamaldeen Sulemana replacing them.
Ghana had good chances in the second half of the match but failed to find the back of the net as they lost 2-0 and left the competition together with Uruguay.
