Ghana forward Samuel Obeng Gyabaa has signed with Portuguese Primera Liga side Casa Pia AC.
The 27-year-old striker joined the Lisbon-based club on a free transfer after leaving Spanish side Real Oviedo earlier this summer.
Obeng had difficulty meeting expectations during his time at Oviedo, where he had been since 2019, which ultimately led to his departure.
Casa Pia announced the signing through their social media channels, although they did not specify the contract duration. However, according to A Bola, the contract is set to last until 2026.
Previously with Girona FC B, Obeng represented Ghana at the U23 Africa Cup of Nations in 2019 but has not yet made his debut for the senior national team, the Black Stars. This transfer represents a fresh opportunity for Obeng to rejuvenate his career and make his mark in Portugal’s top league.
