Sarfo Gyamfi, one of the most vibrant former players of Asante Kotoko, says people cannot disregard the impact that prayers had on the success of the club this season.
Kotoko won the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League following their 1-1 draw at Ashantigold last Thursday during an outstanding Week 29 fixture in Obuasi.
The likes of Frank Thiery Etouga Mbella (21 goals and counting), Georges Mfegue, Salifu Mudasiru, Richmond Lamptey , Imoro Ibrahim and co have been on top form this season in the team of Prosper Ogum but the former player, highly superstitious , believes that their prayers is a factor that must be recognized.
“I did not say ‘JUJU’ won the league for@AsanteKotoko_SC.” Sarfo Gyamfi clarified on Kumasi-based Pure FM on Tuesday.
“I said it played part in Kotoko’s success this season. We (former players) always pray for the team and it works for the club.” he added.
