The KGL Foundation, the corporate social responsibility arm of the KGL Group, has reinforced its dedication to youth empowerment and sports development by becoming the headline sponsor of Karela United FC.
The landmark two-year sponsorship agreement was officially signed during a ceremony held at the KGL Foundation’s offices in Accra.
This partnership is set to provide critical support for Karela United, focusing on the club’s management, technical growth, and infrastructure development, ensuring long-term sustainability both on and off the field.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Elliot Dadey, CEO of the KGL Foundation, highlighted the foundation’s belief in the transformative role of sports.
“We believe in the power of sports as a unifying force and a platform for nurturing young talent. Karela United has shown great potential in advancing football in Ghana, and we are thrilled to be part of their journey.
“This sponsorship is not just about football; it’s about creating opportunities for the youth and promoting community development,” he said.
Dr. Adams Baba, Chairman of Karela United’s Board of Directors, described the sponsorship as a turning point for the club.
“The support from KGL Foundation will significantly help us achieve our long-term goals, both on and off the pitch. It’s about building a legacy that positively impacts the youth and the communities associated with Karela United,” Dr. Baba remarked.
The partnership also aligns with the KGL Foundation’s broader goals of using sports to promote mental health awareness, mentorship, and community engagement initiatives.
