Prince Obeng Ampem was on target for Eyupspor in their Turkish Super Lig encounter against Istanbul Basaksehir, but his goal could not prevent a 3-1 home defeat on Monday.
Basaksehir started strongly and broke the deadlock in the 22nd minute through Ivan Brnic. Eyupspor responded swiftly, with Obeng Ampem leveling the score four minutes later after connecting with a precise pass from Halil Akbunar.
Despite the equalizer, Eyupspor struggled to contain their opponents, and their defensive lapses proved costly in the second half. Olivier Kemen put Basaksehir back in front in the 74th minute, restoring their advantage.
Eyupspor made several substitutions in search of another equalizer, but their hopes were dashed when Yusuf Sari struck in the 85th minute to seal Basaksehir’s victory.
Ampem’s goal took his tally to three in 23 league appearances this season.
