Promising young Ghanaian footballer Godfred Poku Wakii was named man of the match following a win for his club against Hearts of Oak.
Godfred played the entirety of the game as Aduana recorded a 1-0 victory thanks to a strike from talisman Ernest Adjei.
After the game, he said “I would like to thank my teammates and the coaches for having faith in me. It was a tough game. Hearts of Oak is one of the biggest clubs in Ghana and making your debut against Hearts of Oak is quite difficult. I will give thanks to Almighty God for winning the man of the match.”
“We have 34 games and this is matchday 1. Hopefully, in the rest of the games, we will make it.”
Aduana are currently 2nd on the league table.
