Ghanaian midfielder Kobbie Mainoo had his dream day soured by Rodrygo of Real Madrid in the United States of America in an international friendly game.
The young lad has been dazzling for English Premier League giant Manchester United FC but his day to savour turned out to be a day to forget completely.
Mainoo lasted just six minutes on the field of play for the Red Devils in their 2-0 defeat to the White Angel’s in a game he was supposed to show his quality against tough opposition.
The youngster, ahead of the 2023-24 campaign was giving the manager, Erik ten Hag some good vibes and was confirmed as a first team player.
Unfortunately, with just two weeks away from the start of the season, the young player of the 2022-23 season at United is expected to be out for three to four weeks and could miss only two games before his return.
Christian Eriksen was brought on to replace the player in a game United loss 2-0.
