Prosper Ogum, the head coach of Asante Kotoko, is determined to deliver a better performance as they prepare to face FC Samartex this weekend.
This commitment follows an urgent meeting convened in Manhyia at the request of the club’s life patron, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, aimed at addressing the challenges plaguing the team.
The decision to convene the meeting was influenced by Kotoko’s disappointing performance in the latter part of the season, managing only one win in their last seven games. Ogum, speaking to Opemsuo Radio, assured fans of a rejuvenated display on Sunday, promising a fresh approach and increased energy levels from his team.
Following two days of disrupted training sessions due to fan unrest, Prosper Narteh Ogum, alongside the coaching staff, led the team in a practice session at Adako Jachie following the resolution reached during the meeting.
Currently occupying the 11th position on the Premier League standings with 33 points, Kotoko will host the league leaders in their upcoming Matchday 27 fixture at the Baba Yara Stadium, with kickoff slated for 15:00 GMT.
Additionally, after the match, the players are scheduled to meet with Otumfuo Osei Tutu II to further discuss matters concerning the club’s performance and future prospects.
