Prosper Nartey Ogum, head coach of the Black Starlets, has expressed immense satisfaction after leading Ghana to qualification for the U-17 Africa Cup of Nations following an eight-year absence.
“Coaching one of the national teams has always been my dream. It’s a huge joy to qualify Ghana for the U-17 AFCON after eight years,” he stated.
The coach emphasized that the achievement holds personal and professional significance, marking a major milestone in his coaching career.
He further highlighted the unique demands of handling a national side compared to club football, pointing out key differences in structure and approach.
“The dynamics of club team coaching are very different from national team coaching,” he added.
His remarks reflect both pride in the accomplishment and awareness of the challenges involved, as he continues preparations with the Black Starlets ahead of the continental tournament.
