Asante Kotoko head coach, Prosper Narteh Ogum, has expressed his satisfaction with his team’s performance following their 1-1 draw against Berekum Chelsea in a Week 4 Ghana Premier League clash at the Golden City Park.
Kotoko took the lead early in the match, but Chelsea managed to equalize, resulting in a closely contested stalemate. Despite the shared points, Ogum was pleased with his side’s display, highlighting the intensity and execution of their game plan.
Speaking in his post-match interview, Ogum commended his players for their effort against a tough opponent. “I think our plan for the game worked because of the chances we created. We had numerous chances that we should have converted. We tried to play balls behind their laterals and we got a goal. To me, it was a good game, and both teams showed a lot of intensity,” he said.
Looking ahead, Ogum assured Kotoko fans that more victories are on the horizon, urging them to continue supporting the team as they work towards improving results. “We have played only three games. We have won one and drawn two, so I think it’s a work in progress. The boys are doing well, and the fans should still support the team. I’m sure, going forward, we will give them what they want,” Ogum added.
Kotoko’s next challenge will be their midweek clash against Nsoatreman FC to clear their Week 2 outstanding fixture.
