Carlos Queiroz has urged Ghanaians to continue believing in the Black Stars players, insisting that Ghanaian football must remain the priority following his departure as head coach.
In his goodbye message, Queiroz paid tribute to the players for their commitment to the national team and called on Ghanaians to support and protect them as the team looks ahead to the future.
“Above all, I pay tribute to the players of the Black Stars. Thank you to all of them who represented Ghana with courage, commitment and pride. You fought for your country and carried the hopes of millions.
“Believe in these players. Protect them. Support them. The talent and potential are there. With unity, support and the right environment, this generation can achieve great things for Ghana.
Queiroz also expressed his appreciation to the Ghanaian people and supporters of the Black Stars for their passion and support throughout his time with the national team.
“To the Ghanaian people and all Black Stars supporters, thank you for your passion, support and warmth. I will always carry Ghana with me with respect and affection.
The Portuguese coach ended his message by emphasizing that the interests of Ghana and the Black Stars should remain above individual interests as the country’s football looks towards the future.
“Ghana comes first. The Black Stars come first. Ghanaian football comes first. Thank you, Ghana. The Future.”
