Black Stars forward Ransford-Yeboah Konigsdorffer made history by scoring Hamburger SV’s fastest goal since 1998, and one of the quickest in Bundesliga 2, as his team dominated Jahn Regensburg in a 5-0 win.
Konigsdorffer wasted no time, finding the back of the net just 43 seconds into the game, giving Hamburger SV an early lead in their emphatic victory on Sunday afternoon.
The home side continued their fast-paced start, with Robert Glatzel doubling the advantage before the 15th minute.
Hamburger’s dominance persisted in the second half, with substitutes Jean-Luc Dompe and Davie Selke adding to the scoreline. Dompe netted twice, with Selke’s goal in between, capping off a stellar team performance in front of their supporters.
This marked Konigsdorffer’s fourth goal in five matches in the current Bundesliga 2 season.
Although the striker has not been called up to the Black Stars since the Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast, his impressive form could see him return for the upcoming qualifiers in October.
