RB Leipzig have secured the signing of highly-rated German-born Ghanaian youngster Manuel Abbey from 2.
Bundesliga side Hamburger SV ahead of the summer transfer window, according to a report by German outlet Sky.de.
The 16-year-old prodigy has joined the Bundesliga giants on a long-term deal and will initially integrate into the club’s U17 setup at the Red Bull Arena to further his development.
As part of the agreement, Leipzig will compensate Hamburger SV with a training fee for nurturing the promising talent.
In addition to Abbey, Leipzig have also acquired Swedish teenager Warren Ngana from Allsvenskan side Djurgårdens IF as they continue to bolster their youth ranks.
Abbey has been widely regarded as a future star due to his exceptional talent, and his move to Leipzig could be a significant step in his career.
