The organizer of the famous MTN Soccer Academy, Talal Fattal has revealed why the winner of the maiden edition of the football reality show failed to nail a career at Chelsea.
Gideon Baah won the first edition of the football reality show and was privileged to train with Chelsea as part of the price of winning the reality show. The young player’s ability on the pitch was evident and almost got him a permanent deal with the Chelsea academy.
It has now become very clear the chilling weather in London at the time affected the player during his short stay Chelsea which was a stumbling block to the London giants.
“He almost made it to the academy but at the time he went he was not prepared for the cold, so he started bleeding” Talal Fattal said in an interview with Muftawu Nabila on Joy News.
Gideon Baah however became a professional footballer where he went on to play for New York Red Bulls, HJK Helsinki, Honka, Gomel, Kairat-A and Shahktar Karagandy in Kazakhstan.
The left footed player made his debut for the Black Stars against Canada in friendly match in October 2015.
