Athletic Bilbao’s Inaki Williams, who represents the Ghanaian national team, has expressed his delight after scoring a brace to secure a victory for his team against Real Sociedad in the Spanish La Liga.
The 28-year-old was in the starting lineup and played the full 90 minutes as his team cruised to a 2-0 home win on Saturday.
The Black Stars striker opened the scoring for the hosts in the 32nd minute, connecting with a pass from Mikel Vesga.
In the 70th minute, Williams doubled the lead after a superb play by the Rojiblancos, firing a shot into the net.
Following the game, the Ghanaian forward, who is currently in top form, took to social media to express his joy over his team’s victory. He tweeted “Dad Works.”
Williams has scored four goals in his last three games, with three coming in the Spanish La Liga. After going on a four-month goal drought, the Spain-born Ghanaian broke the jinx with a powerful strike in the semi-final of the Copa del Rey against Osasuna. He followed that up with a goal against Espanyol before scoring a double in the recent match.
This season, the Black Stars striker has scored eight goals in La Liga.
