Ghana legend Dan Owusu says Hearts of Oak goalkeeper Richard Attah has bad reflexes and would have to be worked on before he can keep Black Stars post.
Reacting to coach J. E. Sarpong’s call for Attah to be Ghana’s 1st choice when the Black Stars face Nigeria in the World Cup play-off this month, the Ghana legend disagreed with such calls.
Thoughdhe did not downplay the capabilities of Attah, the former Ghana forward believes works must be done on his reflexes to be able to man the post for the Black Stars.
In an interview with Koforidua-based Bryt FM, he said, “I have heard people calling on Richard Attah to keep the post when we play Nigeria, he is a good goalkeeper but I think we have to work on him. Honestly, his reflexes are not good” he said.
Ghana will host the Super Eagles first in Cape Coast on March 25 and return for the second leg in Abuja four days later in a two-legged encounter with the winner of both legs securing qualification to the biggest soccer mundial in Qatar.
