Ghanaian midfielder, Richard Boadu, has been named the captain of Asante Kotoko ahead of the new football season.
The 24-year-old, who used to play for fellow Ghanaian side Medeama SC, has been tasked to lead the team to glory in the upcoming campaign.
He replaces highly-rated defender Ismail Ganiu whose future at the club is currently uncertain.
Agadas, as he is affectionately called by fans and colleagues, will be assisted by defender Yussif Mubarik, goalkeeper Ibrahim Danlad, defender Christopher Nettey and new signing Pouaty Dendoum in order.
He will be looked up to for inspiration as the team defends the betPawa Premier League crown in the coming season.
Agadas and his teammates are in Sudan on a pre-season tour. They will face Al-Hilal on Tuesday.
