Ghanaian youngster Richardson Takyi produced a brilliant match-winning display for Inter Ibiza, scoring twice to lead his side to a 3-1 victory over Monacor in the Spanish Tercera Federación on Saturday afternoon.
The former West African Football Academy (WAFA) forward continued his impressive rise in Spain, taking his goal tally to five in seven starts across 12 appearances this season.
Inter Ibiza started the game brightly, with Antonio Escalante opening the scoring in the 12th minute to give the hosts an early advantage.
Monacor, however, responded just before halftime, as Adria Marin Beltran struck in the 43rd minute to level the score and set up a tense second half.
With the match delicately balanced, Takyi stepped up to deliver when it mattered most. The Ghanaian forward restored Inter Ibiza’s lead in the 77th minute with a composed finish before putting the result beyond doubt deep into stoppage time, completing his brace in style.
