Former Asante Kotoko SC captain Richmond Lamptey produced an impressive performance after playing the full 90 minutes and providing an assist in Elettihad Almisraty’s 2–0 home victory over Ittihad Gharyan in the Libyan Premier League.

The Ghanaian midfielder played a key role in the match, helping his side secure all three points with a commanding display in midfield. Lamptey’s contribution included setting up one of the goals as his team controlled the game to record a comfortable win at home.

Throughout the encounter, the former Asante Kotoko skipper showed great composure and leadership on the pitch, dictating the pace of play and linking up effectively with his teammates in attacking situations.

His assist came after a well-worked move that broke through the opposition’s defence, allowing Elettihad Almisraty to extend their advantage and maintain control of the match.

Lamptey’s performance once again highlighted his importance to the Libyan club since joining them. His experience, vision, and passing ability have made him a key figure in the team’s midfield setup.
For followers of Ghanaian football, the midfielder’s strong showing abroad reflects the continued impact of Ghanaian players across different leagues around the world.

Richmond Lamptey, who previously served as captain of Asante Kotoko, continues to demonstrate his quality and professionalism as he builds his career in the Libyan top flight while helping Elettihad Almisraty remain competitive in the league.
