As the Ghana Premier League 2023/24 second-round action kicks off this weekend, Asante Kotoko prepares for a crucial showdown against Heart of Lions in Kpando on Sunday, February 24th, 2024.

Coach Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum has meticulously curated a 20-man squad for the encounter, with key players set to spearhead Kotoko’s charge against Lions.

Among the notable absentees for the Kpando trip are Baba Yahaya, Georges Mfegue, Shadrack Addo, Julius Ofori Ziggy, Prince Adesa, Nana Benyin Amoah, and team captain Danlad Ibrahim. However, the inclusion of Isaac Oppong, Kalo Ouattara, Henry Ansu, Benard Somuah, and Richmond Opoku Lamptey bolsters Ogum’s squad for the Lions clash.

Currently positioned at 3rd place with 29 points, Kotoko enters the match buoyed by their recent triumph in the Kufuor Cup. In contrast, Heart of Lions languishes at the bottom of the league log with just 15 points.

The Porcupine Warriors’ visit to the Kpando Park promises to be an intense battle, scheduled to kick off at 15:00 GMT and broadcast live on StarTimes Adepa TV channel.

Here’s the complete 20-man squad selected by Coach Ogum for the Heart of Lions encounter:

  1. Frederick Asare (GK)
  2. Sheriff Mohammed
  3. Justice Blay
  4. Peter Amidu
  5. Steven Mukwala
  6. Richmond Opoku
