Former Asante Kotoko midfielder Richmond Lamptey has completed his move to Rwandan Premier League side APR FC, putting pen to paper on a lucrative two-year deal until 2026.
The 26-year-old Ghanaian midfielder joined APR FC after failing to agree a contract extension with Asante Kotoko, where he spent three years and won the Premier League title in his debut season.
As part of the deal, Lamptey will receive a $120,000 signing-on fee and a monthly salary of $8,000 to $10,000. He will also enjoy the use of a free car and a free apartment.
During his time at Kotoko, Lamptey made 68 league appearances, scoring four goals and providing 10 assists.
He is expected to bring his experience and skillset to APR FC, who are looking to make a strong push for the Rwandan Premier League title.
Lamptey was part of Ghana’s squad for the 2024 AFCON in Côte d’Ivoire.
