Portuguese top tier club Rio Ave are preparing a bid to sign Ghanaian winger Abdul Issahaku Fatawu on loan in the 2023 summer transfer window.
Fatawu has been tremendous for the Sporting Lisbon under 19 team scoring 9 goals so far and has also made 7 appearances for the senior team.
The 19-year-old player is still in his developing stages and Rio Ave are ready to sign him on loan with adequate playing time in the Primeira Liga guaranteed.
Rio Ave is not new to taking talented young Ghanaian players on loan from the big clubs in Portugal as they did the same thing with the late Christian Atsu when he was at Porto U19.
Fatawu’s contract with Sporting Lisbon expires on June 30, 2027.
