Algeria has drawn their opening two games in the group as they have just 2 points. Mathematically, a draw on Tuesday night might qualify them for the knout phase but it will depend on the other results in the other groups, especially the third-best teams.
The Fennec Foxes must win at all costs against Mauritania to qualify for the knockout stage to avoid any calculations on Tuesday night.
Skipper Riyad Mahrez who has been quiet so far in the tournament spoke to the press after the game and assured Algerians qualification on Tuesday.
“We’re going to do it (qualify) for our people and our families. The rest, we don’t even listen to them”, said Riyad Mahrez.
