Real Tamale United midfielder Stephen Badu Dankwah has reportedly signed a two-year contract with Georgian club FC Dila Gor, as per Ghanasportspage.com.
According to the report, the midfielder is currently awaiting approval for his visa, after which the official announcement by the club will be made.
Badu Dankwah will be joining FC Dila Gor as a free agent following the expiration of his contract with Real Tamale United. His departure will leave a void in the midfield of the GPL side.
In his debut season in the Ghana Premier League, Badu Dankwah had an impressive performance, scoring six goals and earning three Most Valuable Player (MVP) awards in 29 matches.
He is considered one of the top midfielders in the local league, finishing the season as the leading provider of assists with seven.
Several clubs, including Accra Hearts of Oak, Nations FC, and Asante Kotoko, were reportedly interested in signing the talented midfielder, who celebrates his 22nd birthday today.
