Former Inter Allies FC centre-back Rufai Mohammed has secured his long-term future in Europe after signing a four-year contract extension with Swedish top-flight side IF Elfsborg.

The new deal reflects the club’s confidence in the Ghanaian defender, who has grown into an important member of the squad since joining the Swedish outfit. His consistent performances at the heart of defence have earned him recognition from the technical team and supporters alike.

Rufai Mohammed developed his early football career in Ghana with Inter Allies, where he impressed with his strong defensive qualities, composure on the ball, and ability to read the game. His performances in the Ghanaian league helped him secure the move to Sweden as he looked to continue his development in European football.

Since arriving at IF Elfsborg, the centre-back has gradually established himself as a reliable option in the backline. Known for his physical strength, aerial ability, and calm distribution from defence, Mohammed has played a key role in helping the team maintain defensive stability in crucial matches.

Club officials expressed satisfaction with the agreement, believing the defender still has significant potential to grow and contribute to the team in the coming seasons. The four-year extension signals the club’s long-term plans with the Ghanaian as part of their defensive core.

For Mohammed, the contract extension represents both recognition for his hard work and an opportunity to continue developing his career in the competitive environment of Swedish football. The defender will now be aiming to repay the club’s trust by delivering consistent performances and helping the team achieve success domestically.

The new deal ensures that the former Inter Allies defender will remain with IF Elfsborg for the foreseeable future as he continues his journey in European football. ⚽🇬🇭
